艺术家简介


Amoako Boafo是加纳当代艺术家,以画像而闻名,通常以纯色背景为背景。波阿佛1984年出生于加纳的阿克拉,尽管社区缺乏大型艺术基础设施,但他从小就想成为一名艺术家。在支持自己成为半专业网球运动员几年后,他母亲工作的一位老人主动提出支付大学学费,2008年毕业于阿克拉的加纳塔艺术与设计学院。他于2014年搬到维也纳,并开始了一系列黑人人物的肖像,他遇到了城市,吸引了维也纳分裂主义者的影响,如Egon Schiele。但他的突破是当他选择用手指画而不是刷子时,在他的作品中形成了惊人的纹理对比。2018年,艺术家凯欣德·威利发现了波阿佛的Instagram页面,并从他那里买了一块作品,并将他的作品寄给自己的胆小鬼。最终,这个介绍导致了波阿佛在洛杉矶罗伯茨项目作品的独奏表演。从那时起,波阿佛的作品在国际上引起了相当大的轰动。他的作品现在在纽约古根海姆博物馆收藏:CCS巴德学院艺术博物馆;维也纳阿尔贝蒂娜博物馆和鲁贝尔博物馆。
