新北京画廊2006年成立，位于有着600年历史的皇家粮仓文物建筑内。
 

    新北京画廊以展览、推广当代艺术为主，建立并逐步完善自己的学术主张和推广方向，追求画 廊形象和展览的高品质、前瞻性，以成熟、规范、专业的方式进行画廊运作，古建筑内令人入 迷的画廊空间与展出的艺术品的当代性交相辉映，是目前国内最高端、最重要的画廊之一。

    Founded in 2006,Xin Beijing Art Gallery is located in three 600-year old royal granaries outside the east gate of the Forbidden City.

    “南新仓”是明清两代京都储藏皇粮、俸米的皇家官仓，明永乐七年（1409年）在元代北太仓的基础上起建，至今600年历史，与北京故宫同龄。是元、明、清时期南粮济京的重要代表性建筑。历经600年沧桑之后，现在的南新仓仍保留仓廒9座，成为全国仅有、北京现存规模最大、现状保存最为完好的皇家仓廒，是京都史、漕运史、仓储史的历史见证。南新仓文化休闲街位于北京平安大街龙头位置，东城区东四十条22号。占地面积2.6万平方米，建筑面积3.3万平方米，步行街总长千余米。建筑设施主要由南新仓古仓群、仿古建筑群和南新仓国际大厦底商组成，具有“新的在旧的中，时尚在历史中”的特色。
