面对众多文化问题，和丽斌非常关注时间的流动性和过渡性。对他而言，存在者面对时间时是最为脆弱无助的，所以，精神性存在的首要任务是：在瞬间、偶然、稍纵即逝的时间之流中寻找到价值支撑点，在这个过程中，拥有个体化的时间观，以此来抵御莫名烦恼和空虚。所以，他的作品总是在绘制大山大水，却总是有一种焦灼的痛苦感；或者，用报纸等综合材料来堆砌历史的激越景观，却在这些景观中突出时间的无情流逝。
他的油画，以大笔挥洒的厚涂为主要手法。在用稠厚的颜料在画布上纵横捭阖时，他的个人情绪得到了较为充分的宣泄，但他也以具象的场景和人物来进行象征性的叙事。他的近作，以黑白色为主调，营造出冰冷的氛围；短促阔大的笔法，涂抹出狂乱烦躁的景观。而佛塔、汽车等，在这些焦躁的心理景观中灼烧或坍塌。这些画面，传达出的是他对当代文化的个人心理感受，这种感受中最为突出的是对于当下的主导价值观的怀疑。正是个人内心深处对这些主导价值观的不认同，导致了剧烈的冲突感。但更大的问题是寻找个人价值观之途中的迷惘。对于当代中国人而言，这种迷惘是普遍性的，而且，因为传统文脉的断裂所导致的隔膜，又很难回归到本土的传统价值观之中。那么，如何寻找到适合当代、本土、个人的价值观，是摆在我们面前的长久性、普遍性问题。和丽斌的作品所启示的，也是这一关键问题。

He Libin
He Libin is a Na Xi people. He was born in Yunnan Province, China, in 1973. He graduated from the Fine Arts Department, Southwest Normal University, China, in 1996. And now, he is a lecturer of Oil Painting Department, Yunnan Arts Institute, China, and a senior member of the Oil Painting Association.
