作为展览的主题“同感”，旨在强调当代艺术与当下现实的互语关系。中国当代艺术的发展历程始终同社会现实语境的转型息息相关，当代艺术就如同社会的同频感应器，伴随着每一次社会的变革或是发展，当代艺术也将发生必然的转向。这或多或少地显现出中国当代艺术中的某种特殊性。
中国艺术的历史从来没有像今天这样紧扣现实的脉搏，并不断地抛出那么多的诱惑或者契机。当面对艺术日新月异的效应有些不知所措时，我们常常会在自己的经验和理想之中寻求某种对接，去主动地适应并融入其中。是什么改变了我们对艺术的态度？这更加引发了我们对关于“艺术”的追问，而这个追问的落脚点就是最能显现与时代节奏保持“同感”的艺术生态，其中一个关键特征便是年轻一代的艺术创作。也正是这样，我们才有充分的理由，来一起共同关注这些充满朝气、在艺术创作上不断标新立异的年轻艺术家们，共同探讨和体验他们对于当下文化符号的全新解读。
当下我们的社会现实语境已经完全融入到全球化的文化情景之中，资讯的快捷使得时尚、流行观念和生活方式也逐步与全球化风向趋于一体，社会的转变也正悄悄地改变着我们的态度和观念。面对瞬息万变的文化变迁，使得太多的人措手不及，然而新一代的年轻人却乐在其中，得心应手地演绎着当代现实镜像。在创作过程中虚拟出他们自己认同的文化和生活价值，不拘一格地塑造既丰富又独特的视觉效应，转变着现实隐喻性、装饰性、观念性的艺术功能。从这些现象来看，我们有理由相信年轻艺术家的作品中更加容易扑捉到社会的敏感细节、更能窥析到现实的未来可能。
在此举办“同感——当代新锐艺术家展”，一方面是强调、延续艺术与社会现实的同感关系，另一方面也是通过展览呈现出当代青年一代的某些共同观念和精神状态，也希望能够通过展览中青年艺术家的作品能够唤起观者对当代现实的若干共同感受和体验。以此来梳理蕴藏于艺术表层之下那些与时代同步共振且有意义的文化契机，探讨出我们关于艺术想象中的某些可能性。

“With the same feeling”, as the theme of the exhibition, is to emphasize the relationship between the contemporary art and current reality. The developing process of Chinese contemporary art has a close relationship with society and they are just like the in-band inductor. Contemporary art changes with the renovation or the development of the society, which more or less shows certain specialties of Chinese contemporary art.
The history of Chinese art never ever has such a close connection with the reality before with so many lures and chances as well. In front of the daily changing art, we often try to find a connection point between our dream and experience and melt into it when we are out of our wits. What changes our attitude to art? The question urges us to ask, while the base of which exactly shows the artistic zoology keeping the same step with the same feeling. One of the key characters is the creation by young artists. So it is reasonable enough for us to pay attention to the young and discuss their feeling on the current cultural symbols, who are vigorous with their own personalities.
Nowadays, our societal situation has already melted into worldwide cultural environment. Fashion, popular concepts and life styles from each corner of the world globalize gradually because of the fast information and the transformation of the society is changing our attitude and concept quietly. Daily fast changing makes so much inconvenience to us which in contrast brings happiness to the young and they are so handy with the current situation. During the creation process, they own their cultural and living value, and make visual effect personally. From the above things, we have enough reasons to believe that the young artists can catch the details and analysis the possibilities of the future.
The exhibition, “With the Same Feeling—Exhibition for Contemporary New Generation”, is to emphasis the continuity of the relationship between the art and reality on one side, and on the other to show the same concepts and spirits of the youth. It is hoped to awake the feeling and the experience of the audience to contemporary art through their works. So we can pick out all the cultural chances hidden behind the surface of the art and discuss certain possibilities about artistic imaginations.
