The Pre-Exhibition of the Beijing Poly Auction Company Limited 5th Anniversary Spring Fall is going to be organized in Beijing New Poly Building between 30 May 2010 and 31 May 2010. Wang Shouqing graduated from the British fine-art institutes during his earlier age. He is sophisticated with the knowledge of Western modern and abstract art. He emphasizes the exploration of painting formats. He integrates the language of Chinese self-expressive art with the compositions of abstract formats. Wang’s pieces reveal a strong visual tension, with a reflection of his vivid life experiences. His piece, “Green Apples from Nan's Family Yard” (91 x 158 cm, Ink & Color on Silk, 2009) and “Red Leafs from My Country Home Mountains” (139 x 60 cm, Ink & Color on Silk, 2009), are filled with the essence of Wang’s individual personality. Through the diary manner, Wang described his surrounding livelihoods and substances with his delicate brushstrokes. His pieces give people aesthetic pleasure, similar to what we gain from appreciating a performing art show. Wang’s unique secular ideal, together with his exploration on modern Chinese-ink medium, is acknowledged with significant academic and aesthetic values and industry-wide collection.
Xu Enqi, an American-based Chinese artist, endeavors to search for a harmonious combination between the “moisture-and-ink rhythms” of Chinese painting and the luminance-and-chrominance mechanism of Western painting. He constructs an immense echoing realm based on the principle of Oriental Expressionism. He demonstrates a lively kind of art that transcends the regional history. From Xu’s artistic expression, there’s an eternal sense of cultural affection from such n epoch-based aesthetic realm. His piece, “Great Weather” (91 x 181 cm, Chinese Ink on Paper, 2007), shows the eagerness of urban citizens through a vivid description on the illusions of cloudy, humid and foggy weather. It highlights the philosophy and wisdoms of Oriental art, together with Xu’s exploration on contemporary academic spirits, artistic exploration collectible.
The Beijing Poly Auction Company Limited has been established for five years. It endeavors for an exploration on the “souvenir stream” and obtains widespread recognitions within the auction circuit. The standard of the upcoming auctioned art pieces is greatly enhanced, as equilibrium is sought between academic and marketing values. The Contemporary Chinese-Ink Session comprises the entire historical gradation that indicates transformation of contemporary Chinese art from its previous traditional methodology to its current modernistic image.
