迟鹏是当下中国较为有代表性的80后年轻艺术家之一。这次展览是他从2003年开始至今艺术创作的一次阶段性展示。同时，这既是我馆所主办系列个展中最年轻的一位艺术家，也是他在中国的美术馆举办的第一次个展。
迟鹏艺术创作可以用来描述中国当代都市青年的心态。作品里有种浪漫的梦幻情调，轻盈的飞翔，无所顾忌的奔跑，以及伴随他成长经验与记忆的自我虚拟。在作品的视觉张力上造成了现实图像与非真实场景之间界限上的超现实表达，使观者在现实与虚拟的错位中，凭附出亦真亦幻的玄目与天马行空般的自由想象，显示了中国年轻人重建规则时所迸发出来旺盛的创造力与自信心，也提示出他们在挣脱原有规范与秩序下，在相对于80、90年代的中国艺术家在创作意识形态的转变和在审美观念、趣味上新的趋向。
因此，在有着众多年轻人创业与梦想追逐的深圳——这个年轻的城市中举办这样的展览，他/她们或许会在迟鹏的作品中找寻到憧憬未来的认同与心绪的共鸣。
何香凝美术馆
Chi Peng is one of the representative young artists of the post-80s generation. This exhibition showcases his artworks from 2003 up till now. Chi Peng is the youngest among our solo artists, and this is his first solo show in an art museum in China.
Chi Peng’s creations portray the mental status of urban youth in today’s China. His artworks feature a romantic tone with lithe flying and carefree running, and a self-illusion that accompanies his growth and memory. One may discern from the visual tension of the artworks the reality and virtual scenes, and set free boundless imagination in such a dislocated world. His artworks reveal the young people’s creativity and confidence as they rebuild the principles, and give a hint of their new creative ideology and aesthetic interest.
Therefore, here in Shenzhen, a young city permeated with young people’s dreams, one may identify with Chi Peng’s imagination for the future.
