一连六天在香港会议展览中心举行的香港苏富比2009年秋季拍卖会今天进入第四天，举行当代亚洲艺术拍卖会，总成交额为1亿1,600万港元／1,490万美元（估价9,700万港元至1亿2,700万港元／1,200万至1,600万美元*）；件数成交率（sold by lot）为77%；金额成交率（sold by value）为82%。拍卖场内座无虚席，竞投激烈，重点当代中国艺术家如张晓刚、曾梵志、岳敏君等之作品大受青睐，拍出优异的成绩，整体成绩令人鼓舞。
苏富比当代中国艺术部主管林家如表示：「我们对于今天的拍卖结果感到满意，『蓝筹』当代中国艺术家之作品拍出坚挺的成绩，而件数成交率也逾百分之八十，整体表现进一步肯定市场对当代亚洲艺术拍卖具持续的信心。本拍卖选品精炼，估价得宜，吸引来自亚洲以至欧美各地的买家积极参与；十大成交拍品之买家当中大部份更是来自中国大陆。另外值得一提的是，苏富比自今年春季开始拍卖之当代香港艺术同样成绩彪炳，令人欣喜。」
Hong Kong, 6 October, 2009 Before an overflowing salesroom and crowded telephone bank today, Sotheby’s Hong Kong Contemporary Asian Art Autumn Sale 2009 achieved a total of HK$ 116 million/ US$14.9 million (est. HK$97-127 million /US$12-16 million*), and was 77% sold by lot and 82% by value. Solid prices were achieved for works by blue-chip contemporary Chinese artists, including Zhang Xiaogang, Zeng Fanzhi and Yue Minjun, among others (see enclosed top-ten for prices).
Evelyn Lin, Head of Contemporary Asian Art at Sotheby’s, said, “We are pleased with today’s results in which many blue-chip contemporary Chinese artists achieved strong prices. With sell-through rates at around 80%, this sale confirms continued confidence for this market. Our reasonable estimates, combined with careful curation of the sale, brought bidders from all over Asia as well as Europe and America. Of particular note, the majority of the top ten lots were sold to mainland Chinese collectors. We also saw some encouraging results in the sale of contemporary Hong Kong art which Sotheby’s initiated last Spring.”
